Moorestown Visiting Nurse Association's professional staff consists of a wide range of skilled caregivers, including:

RN's and LPN's: Provide skilled medical care for a variety of conditions, including:

• asthma management
• cardiopulmonary services
• diabetes management
• home infusion/IV therapies
• wound, ostomy and continence care

Home Health Aides

• provide personal care, including help with bathing and dressing
• assistance with food shopping and meal preparation

Medical Social Workers

• address family, social and emotional issues
• assist with access to appropriate community resources

Therapists

• Physical therapy:  focuses on walking, balancing and using assistive devices (such as wheel chairs, walkers and canes). Our goal is to return the patient to their highest level of independence.
• Occupational therapy:  focuses primarily on working with patients to develop their skills in personal care, cooking, and managing a home, as well as living with assistive devices such as splints. Our goal is to help the patient remain independent at home.
• Speech therapy:  provided to improve a patients’ ability with word selection, speech and swallowing.
• Home Safety Assessment:  helps the patient and their family learn to live with adaptive equipment and maintain independence in their own home.

Nutritionists

• assess and recommend special dietary programs to meet the patient’s needs
