Moorestown Visiting Nurse Association's professional staff consists of a wide range of skilled caregivers, including:
- Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses
- Certified Home Health Aides
- Medical Social Workers
- Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists
- Nutritional Specialists
All of our professional staff live by our organization’s core values – to be caring, competent, reliable, honest and ethical – while providing the very best in necessary medical treatment to our patients.
RN's and LPN's: Provide skilled medical care for a variety of conditions, including:
- asthma management
- cardiopulmonary services
- diabetes management
- home infusion/IV therapies
- wound, ostomy and continence care
Home Health Aides
- provide personal care, including help with bathing and dressing
- assistance with food shopping and meal preparation
Medical Social Workers
- address family, social and emotional issues
- assist with access to appropriate community resources
Therapists
- Physical therapy: focuses on walking, balancing and using assistive devices (such as wheel chairs, walkers and canes). Our goal is to return the patient to their highest level of independence.
- Occupational therapy: focuses primarily on working with patients to develop their skills in personal care, cooking, and managing a home, as well as living with assistive devices such as splints. Our goal is to help the patient remain independent at home.
- Speech therapy: provided to improve a patients’ ability with word selection, speech and swallowing.
- Home Safety Assessment: helps the patient and their family learn to live with adaptive equipment and maintain independence in their own home.
Nutritionists
- assess and recommend special dietary programs to meet the patient’s needs
